Patrons are outgoing people who place great value on comradeship and community. They bring harmony to social endeavors and groups, trying their best to support people and foster positive values. Patrons seek to build and defend warm, stable structure around them, including others in a kind of an extended family in which everyone shares cooperative principles even if they don’t always agree.

In turn, this type puts sincere effort into their social relationships, whether inside or outside their inner circle of friends. Group activities and regular social events are likely to feature prominently in Patrons’ schedules, and through these activities, they try to infuse their lives and the lives of those who matter to them with a sense of genuine friendship and mutual reliance.

Patrons readily engage broader society as well, likely to be involved in civic or religious activities, community events, and various social settings where they can mingle and associate with others. Shared activities are important to Patrons, who cherish engaging social traditions. They like to bring people together, often seen as natural coordinators and organizers, whether planning a major life event, an evening out with friends, or even a quarterly project meeting.

This type values coordination and continuity in their work lives as well. Patrons stick with tried and true notions and approaches to create good results for everyone. They value the reliability of what’s been shown to be functional and effective time and again over any theoretical assumption, even if it seems clever.

It’s not that Patrons refuse anything new or experimental, but they dislike the thought of wasting time and energy on something that might prove unworkable when there’s already a good approach in place. They’re practical people and not much interested in abstractions or speculation – such things feel too far removed from their experience and too unreliable to use to guide themselves.

Their views might seem conventional to some types, but people with this personality type are passionate and outspoken about what they believe is the right way of doing anything. They do try to be diplomatic in their expression of these convictions, though. They self-confidently make their points clear but are also respectful, not intending to attack or offend anyone.

They can be willful and persistent as well, steadily voicing their concern when they think something isn’t a good idea. Patrons readily confront and try to reason with those they see as disrespectful, or whose behavior they think goes against the sense of friendship and community they care for and try to build.

And when it comes to work, Patrons are equally vigorous, vocal, and conscientious. Because they work hard and offer deep commitment, they dislike it when other people slack off or act as renegades instead of working together as a team. They would rather have everyone on the same page, each knowing their place and task.

Patrons enthusiastically attack any task placed in front of them, whether routine or more complex. Their hard work and overall good nature generally earn the appreciation and respect of their coworkers. And in turn, Patrons often see coworkers as more than strictly colleagues and will go out of their way to help them, prepared to put in extra work with the team when necessary.
