As the group’s name suggests, Directors like to create initiatives and pull people into their plans as companions and coworkers. Their grand ideas tend to inspire others to join in their visions, and they often end up shaping the momentum formed by such cooperation. With their vigorous and gregarious nature, they’re also often the ones to steer conversations or even the social activities of a group they’re in.

Directors like being around people, but also have a rich inner landscape of imagination. They form expansive yet cohesive visions by reviewing and judging information they come across against their ideas and beliefs. What passes this review process is woven into a whole understanding, but the point is more than just thought experiments or philosophy – this type is guided by these conclusions.

But Directors try not to rush their judgment. They think things through when evaluating whether something is worthy of action, and are always concerned with making what they feel is the right choice. Sometimes they see this process as a team effort, brainstorming by boldly presenting their thoughts on an idea or a course of action, asking for opinions, and discussing alternatives with others in the room.

Once this type settles on a belief or plan, it’s a firm decision. They deeply value structure and planning and don’t like to move forward or change direction haphazardly. They strive to be powerful, focused actors. This doesn’t necessarily include pointless stubbornness, but because they invest such thought before committing to a direction, significant contrary evidence is required to change their minds.

Nevertheless, when the reasons are strong enough, Directors are open to changing their course or altering their plans. Their visionary mindset offers them a wide perspective, even if they’ve missed something initially. As firmly forward thinkers, they might sometimes lose sight of the details of day-to-day life as well as how to get from point A to point B in their grand plans.

Accordingly, Directors understand the importance of surrounding themselves with people of different talents and skills, including colleagues, coworkers, or companions who are more meticulous and capable of executing the finer details. These visionaries provide any group with direction and sweeping ideas of improving the future, but they know it takes many hands to paint that big picture to the fullest.
